HVAC and refrigeration wholesaler Beijer Ref Denmark is carrying out a generational change, as Claus Bo Jacobsen wishes to step down as CEO.
The replacement has been found internally, and Thomas Dalsgaard will take over as CEO on 6 September 2023.

I will focus on completing our current strategy period in the best possible way, and I look forward to the next steps where we, among other things, will strengthen the digitisation of the business and offer better online solutions to our customers,” says Thomas Dalsgaard.
Thomas Dalsgaard joined Beijer Ref Denmark in 2019 as Business Unit Manager for the Armadan subsidiary, which markets technical insulation and. Later, he also held the role of Business Development Manager, being responsible for business development and marketing.
”Our Area Manager of the Nordic-Baltic area, Fredrik Hamrin, and I look forward to working more closely with Thomas Dalsgaard to develop the business so we can further boost growth in our Danish companies,” says Simon Karlin, EVP & COO EMEA at Beijer Ref.
Wish to step down
Claus Bo Jacobsen has been CEO of Beijer Ref Denmark since 2009, and the change is made due to his wish of stepping down.
"I've had many great years with Beijer Ref Group, and I've enjoyed the fantastic journey I’ve been on with all the talented employees. For some time, I've had a desire to step down, in order to spend more time with my family, and now the time is right to implement a generational change and pass on the responsibility to younger talents," says Claus Bo Jacobsen.
In the coming six months, Claus Bo Jacobsen will continue in the role as Business Development Director for Beijer Ref Nordic where he will lead several strategic projects and support his successor in the transfer of responsibilities.
